AUDIOKISS have teamed up with ‘HOT HOUSE FLOWERS’ singer LIAM Ó MAONLAÍ to record a brand new single titled ‘BROKEN IN TIME’ which will certainly impress (and possibly surprise) a great many music fans and music industry people alike. ‘BROKEN IN TIME’ IS RELEASED IN IRELAND ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH, 2011 on AyKayem Records (The bands own Indie label), whilst the song will also be released onto the International market on MP Records / GT Music Distribution, based out of Padova, Italy, later on in the year.
Both Liam and Siobhan share vocal duties on the new release, which is already gathering notice from several International music publishing houses and other artists interested in covering the song. The new release will be a revelation to many people featuring as it does such a “deep soul” vocal vein.
Jack says: “We’re delighted to get the chance to work on this with Liam. A lot of people have already made comparisons with Liam’s vocal on this song being similar to some of the all-time soul legends such as Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye, which is high praise indeed. We are all truly delighted with the vocal chemistry created by Siobhán and Liam on this song.”
‘BROKEN IN TIME’ was co produced and engineered with Keith Farrell from renowned pop-masters Pugwash and Cathy Davey’s band.
Mick Shannon of Shanarama Productions is currently shooting a video for the track. |

Is Melody still alive?
October 2007 saw the release of their first 3 tracks. The members of this Rock/Pop outfit are no strangers to the music business. Jack Dublin who recently featured in the Hot Press hall of fame played with In Tua Nua in its early days alongside musicians such as Steve Wickham - (Fiddle, The WaterBoys), Vinnie Kilduff (Pipes on U2’s October), Sinead O’Connor and host of others. They toured with U2, Simple Minds and supported others like, Bob Dylan, Crowded House, The Eurythmics, and played at some of the biggest European music festivals with Iggy Pop, Lou Reed and Fleetwood Mac, to name but a few. Prior to In Tua Nua Jack played with Rocky DeValera and the Gravediggers where - behind the drums – now songwriter Robert Campbell was also to be found.
Classically trained singer Siobhan Mahon first embarked into the music industry with her band “Christina Calls”. Described in the press as “a voice of simplicity” and “instantly recognizable, a haunting resonant voice”. Most succinctly, however, it was described as “a voice of an angel”. The band released a CD called “Some Strange Angel“ on their own label Laura Records attracting interest from publishers and Record companies in the US.
In the mid 90's Siobhan released a one off single with Liam O Maonlai of the Hot House Flowers for the Hospice Foundation. From these musical exploits came the band Altogether Morris (ATM) Releasing a mini album Siobhan set off again on to the live stage and a whole host of TV appearances.
All tracks were produced by Conor Brady at the Vicar Street Studio. Conor has played guitar and recorded with The Blades, The Partisans, The Wilf Brothers, The Stars Of Heaven, The Revenants, The Commitments (guitar on movie sound track), Andrew Strong (world tour 91/92), The Corrs (world tour 97/98), Terence Trent Darby (2nd album 'Neither fish nor Flesh') and Jerry Fish. |
